In his childhood he was nicknamed as ‘Swarna Spitam’ for his god gifted ability to write patriotic songs in Hindi and Gujarati language. Even at his tender age, local newspaper published his poems under the title of ‘Kavya-Dhara’. He was honored for his poetic work on bravery of Customs & Central Excise department at Bhavnagar, Gujarat. His father was Superintendent of Customs & Central Excise, who was constantly inspiring him to write poems and patriotic songs, as Sudhir had the natural gift of writing poems.
